Available Rooms
LAMP has two planning rooms, a multipurpose room, and of course the main videoconference room. All rooms are equipped with real chairs, air conditioning that really works, and excellent lighting.

| Planning Room 1 |

Planning room 1 is sized for up to eight people sitting at the table. Up to ten people can comfortably fit in this room. This room is set up in a traditional alignment, where the table is parallel to the long wall. This room faces east and thus is warmer in the morning and cooler in the afternoon. Refer to the Toys page for additional options available while using one of our planning rooms. |

| Planning Room 2 |

Planning room 2 is also sized for up to eight people sitting at the table. Up to ten people can comfortably fit in this room. This room is set up in a diagonal alignment to take advantage of the large amount of white board space. This room faces south and thus is cooler in the morning and warmer in the afternoon.

| Training |

The multipurpose room in training mode is designed to handle up to twelve people (two to a table). The tables are larger and more spacious than standard training tables. This room is equipped with a high quality, color-accurate video projector and screen, a sound system, sixteen linear feet of white board, and a laptop stand for the presenter. Each row of tables has power, and the entire facility has encrypted WiFi LAN access, so all participants can bring their laptops and have access to power and internet.

The multipurpose room in presentation mode can seat up to thirty people. This room is equipped with a high quality, color-accurate video projector and screen, a sound system, sixteen linear feet of white board, and a laptop stand for the presenter.

| The Boardroom |
|

The videoconference room can be used in boardroom mode to seat up to twelve people (fifteen if no projector is used). Use this room when you need more privacy and a boardroom-style arrangement. Note that this room has no white boards (it's acoustically optimized for audio quality), and so is best used for presentations as shown above.

| Videoconference Room |

Our videoconference room is specially designed and equipped for an optimal experience. We use a Polycom HDX 9001 system configured for Internet Protocol (IP) communications. This is a state-of-the art, 2007 system and includes the Polycom EagleEye camera, one of the top rated videoconferencing cameras in the industry. We have access through video bridging services to multiple non-IP (typically ISDN) endpoints as well as Web broadcast services to enable multiple participants with one-way video and two-way audio.
The specialized table you see here is called a "Nutcracker." The shape of the table allows the camera to see everyone, and everyone to see the monitors, without leaning back and forth and looking over and around each other's heads. The lighting system is designed to optimize the viewing experience for both ends by providing even, glare-free lighting on the participants while leaving the displays in shadow.
The air conditioning system has been modified to provide up to 20,000 BTU's of cooling for up to 15 people and a bunch of electronics while delivering the air silently at low velocity. The acoustic paneling on the walls absorbs reverberating sound and enables excellent audio delivery to the far site. 42" plasma screens provide optimal viewing clarity and contrast.
